The name of this organization shall be the National Society of Black Engineers at the University of Texas at Austin, hereafter referred to as Texas NSBE or the Chapter.

The name of this organization shall be the National Society of Black Engineers at the University of Texas at Austin, hereafter referred to as Texas NSBE or the Chapter.
To stimulate student interest in engineering disciplines, increase the number of minority students in engineering, and brighten career prospects for Black engineers at UT Austin and beyond.
Membership is open to UT Austin students interested in engineering who subscribe to NSBE objectives. Active membership requires local dues and participation in chapter activities such as GBMs and service.
The chapter is governed by an executive board including the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Programs Chair, along with zone leadership.
Members can request constitutional archives and meeting minutes through the Secretary office.
